Interesting article by Reek. The sole palladium precatalyst lead to inactive run, while combining it with Zn salen result in productive systems. The change of subsituent of the Zn salen induces different activity and diffeernent molecular weight didtribution. It seems obvious that the steric environment of the pd center would be affected by such bulky groups and that the electronic propertioes of the Pd would also be affected.

Heteromultimetallic Transition Metal Complexes Based on unsymmetrical Pt bis actelyde

Quiet an interesting article, with the preparation of several multimetallic complexes. Most of them are based on a Pt center that undergoes a series of addition so as to form the different targeted complexes. While this is quiete a nice and fascinating treat for a synthetic organometallic chemist, they do not mention any potential applications. Still their synthesis route deserves to be carefully examined.
